“This night is celebrated with worship since the beginning of Islam”. (What is Shab Baraat, by Suzail Abbas Madani).
Shab is a Persian word meaning night and Baraat is an Arabic word meaning freedom. Saves from hell.
Habits of the Government of Madinah, may Allah bless her and grant her peace, Umm al-Mu’mineen Hazrat Sayyiduna Aisha Siddiqa, may Allah bless her and grant her peace, says: I did not see the Holy Prophet, may Allah bless her and Grant him peace by fasting in any month beyond Shaban al-Mu’azzam. (Tirmizi, Volume 2, page 182, Hadith: 736)
She adds One night I could not find the presence of the Holy Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. I went out in search of you, peace and blessings of Allah be upon you, and I found you in Jannat al-Baqi. That’s why the tribe of Bani Kalb forgives people more than the hair of goats. (Tirmizi, Vol. 2, p. 183, Hadith: 739 Muktaqati) It should be that it is bid to go to the graveyard on the night of Shab-Barat or the midnight of 15th Sha’ban and promise to treat the dead as bad.

Rituals of religious leaders, may God have mercy on them, used to spend this night in worship of Allah. Hazrat Sayyiduna Khalid bin Madan, Hazrat Sayyiduna Luqman bin Aamir, and other religious leaders, may God have mercy on them, used to wear nice clothes, wear turbans and pray in the mosque at night on the fifteenth (15th) night of Shaban al-Mu’azzam. Al-Dukhan, under verse: 3, c8, 402)
Traditions of the people of Mecca The elder Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Ishaq Fakihi (may God bless him and grant him peace) of the 3rd century Hijri says: When the night of purity comes, the people of Mecca have been following this practice till today, that they should come to the Haram Shareef Masjid and do Tawaf.
They were engaged in worship and reciting the Qur’an throughout the night. Some of them would perform 100 rak’ahs (nafl prayers) in such a way that in each rak’ah they recited Surah Al-Ikhlas ten times after Surah Fatiha. Zamzam Sharif used to drink, bathe with it and save it for his patients, and by doing these things he got many blessings that night.
The argument is referred to in the opening verses of Surat al-Dukhan.
However, in these verses, the “night of redemption” is not described, but the “night of judgment” and it is not a description of “the judgments of fate”, but “the judgments of fate are distributed” among the angels. The decisions of fate have been made since eternity and fate was written fifty thousand years before the birth of the universe.
Let us study the opening verses of Surah Al-Dukhan.
These verses describe three issues.
1. The Qur’an was revealed on a holy night
2. On this night (among the angels) wisdom and orders are distributed.
3. Mercy appears on this night
It is a rule that the Qur’an is interpreted differently. That is, one part of the Qur’an explains another part. So let us see the interpretation of these verses in the light of the Quran.
These three things are described in Surah Al-Qadr, see.
1. The Qur’an was revealed in the Night of Greatness.
2. Angels descend with whatever is written in the fate till the next Laylatul Qadr.
3. Peace descends on this night
This puzzle has been solved the second name of Lailatul-Qadr is Lailat Mubarak.
In which month is this night?
The Holy Quran says that the Quran was revealed in the month of Ramadan. (Al-Baqarah verse 185. And it is known that Laylat-ul-Qadr occurs in Ramadaan, not in Sha’ban).
Night of the fifteenth of Sha’ban:
