Delhi-based fashion influencer Nancy Tyagi dazzled in a pink gown she created for her debut on the Cannes 2024 red carpet. In a post on Instagram, Nancy recounted her “dream come true” moment as she exclaimed: “Stepping onto the red carpet at the 77th Cannes Film Festival as a debutant feels surreal.”

Nancy, who poured her “heart and soul” into creating her Cannes debut outfit, said she took 30 days to make it. Featuring a sequinned strapless bodice, 1,000 meters of fabric were used to make the pink gown that weighs over 20kg.

She accessorized her attire with a dainty necklace and kept her makeup subtle with a nude base, loads of highlighter, and soft pink lipstick.

“The journey has been intense, but every moment was worth it. I’m overwhelmed with joy and gratitude for the love and support from all of you. This is a dream come true, and I hope my creation dazzles you as much as your support has inspired me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Nancy said in her post.

Nancy, who was born and raised in the Barnava village in the Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh, relocated to Delhi before the Covid-19 pandemic.

During the lockdown, Nancy began producing content featuring her unique self-made and designed creations influenced by high-fashion couture. Her popularity surged as she meticulously crafted elaborate outfits from raw materials sourced from local markets.
