Children's Museum of Brownsville Honors Dr. Seuss Week with Interactive Activities

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) – The Children’s Museum of Brownsville has Dr. The week’s follow-up to Seuss has created an engaging and fun-filled lineup.

On Wednesdays, March 1 through March 5, the museum will feature activities, crafts, games and story-time sessions inspired by the writings of Dr. Seuss.

The museum observes March 1 as Wacky Wednesday and children are encouraged to dress wacky and raucous. Thursday is dedicated to Bartholomew and Oobleck, a green gooey and sticky substance. Children are encouraged to wear green clothes on this day.

On Friday, kids will dress up in costumes that match their future careers in honor of the book Oh, The Places You Go. Cat in the Hat Day will take place on Saturday and children are encouraged to wear their favorite hat.

While many already honor this tradition, the museum encourages children to wear mismatched socks to stay in the theme of the Fox in Socks book.

“Every day, we’ll have tons of new and exciting activities that will be imaginative and bring the world of Dr. Seuss to life once again,” the museum said in a statement.
