Renowned Tamil writer and litterateur Nellai Kannan was ailing for the past few months and was undergoing treatment. Today he passed away.
The Tamil Nadu government’s Elangovadis award was recently given to Nellai Kannan. Nelly Kannan, a senior Congress party executive, was friendly with everyone from former Chief Minister Kamaraj to current Chief Minister MK Stalin.
Late Nellai Kannan’s family is contemplating arrangements for the last rites and public display of the body. The late speaker Nelli Kannan was given the nickname Tamilakadal.
