The Hippocrates Health Institute is controversial for giving patients false hope about treating cancer with “natural” methods that are unproven and inconsistent despite claims otherwise.
In February and March 2015, cease-and-desist orders were issued against co-directors Brian and Anna-Maria Clement, both representing themselves as doctors, prompting them to terminate the unlicensed practice of medicine. was required. The Florida Department of Health formally notified the Hippocrates Health Institute that the latter withdrew and rejected the cease-and-desist orders due to lack of sufficient evidence.
Brian Clement and his institute have come under direct criticism for promoting a number of ineffective treatments that have been claimed to “reverse” cancer and multiple sclerosis. He is not a medical doctor. The way he treated them was widely and dangerously criticized. Former staff members of the institute have filed a lawsuit against Brian Clement for raising concerns about ethical wrongdoing in treating patients at the center.
About the Institute of Hippocrates
The Hippocrates Institute offers a variety of programs for guests to learn about healthy food choices and start their journey. The Mind, Body, and Spirit approach was founded at the Hippocrates Institute to make medicine food and food into medicine. Located in West Palm Beach, Florida, this fit stay features a tropical resort with an on-site spa.
The Hippocrates Institute has a 3-week Weight Loss Academy Program (HWLA) designed to eat the right foods so guests can eat as much as they want while remaining physically healthy. During the stay, guests will be coached by nutritionists, personal trainers, and medical staff to ensure that the HWLA is unique to each guest.
Accommodation
Located in West Palm Beach, Florida, HWLA is a resort set in a tropical garden. With plants and trees growing in every way, the resort makes guests feel like they are in their own little world. HWLA has 4 accommodation options: Royal Palm Villa, Poinciana Level, Magnolia Level, and Moringa Level.
Royal Palm Villa is a fully furnished townhome that is attached to the main building of the resort. This allows for quick, easy access to facilities while keeping your space private. The Royal Palm Villa measures 2,000 square feet and can be enjoyed privately or shared.
The Poinciana and Magnolia levels are similar to the Royal Palm Villas, except they are separate houses. These homes are fully furnished, and rooms can be rented or shared privately. The Poinciana has a bathroom attached to each bedroom, while the Magnolia has the feel of a hostel with rooms with designated bathrooms.
Moringa Level is a hostel-style accommodation. A room can hold up to 4 beds and can be rented privately or as a shared space with other guests. Bathrooms are located outside the rooms and Moringa Level offers a minimal amount of private space.
Health
At HWLA, fitness is part of the program, but more as a compliment to the nutritional side of the program. Four hours of physical activity per day: 2 hours of cardio, 1 hour of strength, and 1 hour of yoga/meditation/stretch. In addition to these group classes, there are two private classes that will take place per week for guests with a personal trainer.
