Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is a significant initiative by the Government of India, aimed at commemorating and rejoicing in 75 years of independence and the illustrious history of its people, culture, and accomplishments.

The official commencement of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav took place on 12th March 2021, marking the beginning of a 75-week countdown to the momentous 75th anniversary of India’s independence. The Mahotsav will culminate after a year-long celebration on 15th August 2023. Throughout this period, the nation will unite to honor its heritage, diversity, and progress.

The celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav revolves around five prominent themes, each signifying a crucial aspect of India’s growth and aspirations.

As we approach the momentous date of 15th August 2023, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is determined to amplify the spirit of this people’s movement by engaging in joint campaigns and extensive outreach endeavors across India and beyond. These campaigns are centered around nine pivotal themes, closely aligned with the ‘Panch Pran’ principles announced by the esteemed Prime Minister. The objective is to promote and reinforce the essence of these themes, fostering positive change and progress in various spheres of society.

The nine critical themes that serve as the focal points for the Mahotsav’s collaborative campaigns are as follows:

Women and Children: Empowering and uplifting women and children, recognizing their significant roles in shaping the nation’s future.
