Why are the Vikings and Saints playing NFL games in London?

According to the league, NFL London games officially began in 2007. There were 30 games in 14 consecutive seasons until the postponement of the London Games in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Games resumed in 2021.

The effort is part of a longer campaign to expand American football to other parts of the world. Six teams can now market themselves in the United Kingdom as part of an international effort to develop the NFL’s brand.

The Miami Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Jets, and Atlanta Falcons will also have their matchups in England this month.
