Now You Can Finally Buy Sephora in the UK, Browse the Vogue Beauty Team’s Top Picks

Once upon a time, a trip to Sephora was only possible while traveling abroad—and it was a very exciting prospect, too. Now it’s here – in website form – in the UK, and with it access to a whole host of exclusive brands and products that you can’t find anywhere else. Here, the Vogue beauty team shares the beautiful buys they’re most excited to add to the basket.

Jessica Diner, European Beauty and Wellness Director

The murmurs of Sephora launching in the UK have been making the rounds for feeling like Aeons, but now it’s finally here. It brings with it a whole range of exclusive brands from the US and around the world, but what I am most excited about is its own brand, the Sephora Collection. It’s home to all those little treats I used to pick up in stores in Europe or the US on the way to checkout. At the top of my shopping list are de-compostable sheet masks, micellar water, and makeup brushes, all of which are great.

Lauren Murdoch-Smith, Senior Beauty and Wellness Editor

Sephora is literally every beauty addict’s dream destination and has always been at the top of my list of places to go when I move to the US. But with incredible makeup, skincare, and hair treatments aside (I could easily spend an hour trying different products), this travel mini is what I get every time. All the best of beauty in miniature, it’s the perfect way to try a new product for the first time, without paying for the full-size version.

If Sephora’s e-commerce platform is here now, it means we could be closer to an actual brick-and-mortar store – something I’ve wanted in the UK ever since I first visited the incredible Champs-Elysees Flagship and visited New York. Store, many years ago. alternative! And the way the products are placed in similar lines, which felt very radical. Until that happens, I’ll be filling my basket with Mario Badescu’s Drying Lotion, Kopari Aluminum Free Coconut Deodorant, and that special makeup artist Q-tips (like Humble Bamboo’s Natural Cotton Swabs) that allow you to create the perfect Is. Eyeliner.

Twiggy Jalloh, Beauty and Wellness Associate

There’s nothing like a bright under-eye to complete a soft glam look. Following the UK Black Girl make-up method (all praise from under-eye icons Uche Natori, Mela Child, and The Queen Hadassah), I use a creamy yet matte concealer, like Tarte’s Shape Tape Concealer. Cause I love this special one so much? It’s full coverage without being cakey, lifts my under-eye area, banishes all signs of fatigue, and it’s full of complexion-correcting licorice root. It also has a jumbo applicator which allows easy application. Overall winner.

Few would dispute that Sephora is one of the world’s most exciting destinations for beauty—they also stock many of my personal favorite brands, like Glow Recipe and Pat McGrath—though even more exciting is that fun experience. What you get for your purchase. Favorite beauty product. Every time I’ve been to Sephora anywhere in the world – whether it’s Singapore, France, or the US – it’s been an expansive, thrilling mood of discovery that brings beauty to life in a way that nowhere else does. This is a beauty lover’s dream.

Now that Sephora is in the UK, I’m finally able to get my hands on make-up by Mario from the US without having to forcibly pay import duties. Created by Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic, this line is next-level good and offers beautiful, soft textures that are really easy to use. I’m a big fan of the Soft Pop Blush Stick – it provides a natural flush, which is perfect for autumn. I predict a sell-off…
