Artis Leon Ivy Jr., known professionally as Coolio, was born on August 1, 1963, in Monsen, Pennsylvania. He was a great figure among rapper musicians, which included other genres such as West Coast hip pop, gangsta rap, G-funk, and pop rap. But unfortunately Coolio passed away on 28 September 2022.

The cause of death is yet unknown and according to reports, Coolio was found lying on the bathroom floor with no reaction, with his manager suggesting that it could be a clear case of a heart attack.

Apart from being a great rapper, Coolio was also an actor, chef, and record producer by profession. Coolio was married to Josefa Salinas and is the father of six children. More information about her parents and livelihood is not known yet.

By releasing these two records, Coolio tried hard to make new connections with many people in LA. In the end, for his sake, Coolie joined one of the leading groups of the WC and Mad Circle at the time. The group was led by rapper WC.

The group together produced a new variety of albums, titled Ain’t a Damn Than Changed, and Coolio was considered a credited co-contributor to the group. Coolio signed to Tommy Boy Records in 1994, following his collaborations with WC and the Mad Circle group.

This contract was the cornerstone of his career as Coolio and he released his first album It Takes a Thief as a solo artist. After this album was recognized by Coolio and his other lead solo album titled Fantastic Voyage, Coolie received heavy acclaim and heavy rotation on MTV, surprisingly the album peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
