Kavi Khan is known as one of the first actors of PTV. His film journey started in 1965 and he worked in more than 200 films. He became famous for the PTV drama serial Andhera Ujala. He received the Pride of Performance Award in 1980 and the Sitara-e-Imtiaz Award in 2012.

Early career
Qavi Khan started his artistic career with Radio Pakistan. He started working as a child artist in Radio Pakistan plays at an early age. In 1964, when Pakistan Television started in Lahore, he was seen in its first drama “Nazrana”. Awarded for his work.
