On January 28, 2023, the Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital in Bengaluru announced the critical medical condition of Nandamuri Taraka Ratna. While at the Telugu Desam Party, he suffered a heart attack on Friday and was immediately taken to the hospital for hospitalization and treatment.
