The win saw Mikel Arteta’s side remain at the top of the league and are now the only side not to drop any points, with their 100% record intact.
But a trip to Old Trafford awaits Arsenal this weekend, with Manchester United facing off. The Gunners beat United 3-1 at the Emirates in the last meeting between the two sides, but the two teams have changed a lot since April.
Thomas Partey, Mohamed Alleny, and Oleksandr Zinchenko have all been confirmed as absentees for Arsenal’s trip to the north. Martin Odegaard and Aaron Ramsdale are both being ‘assessed’ before the game, and if both were missing, it could prove to be a major setback for the Gunners.

The first half belonged to Man United, with Arsenal struggling to catch the ball as Aaron Ramsdale was tested multiple times. This continued into the second half, and after United’s new signing Antony was presented with 20 minutes to go, Ramsdale had to make a big save to deny him.
After a foul pass from William Saliba, Antony caught the ball and charged toward a goal. A big Brazilian touch saw Gabriel commit and lose, sending Brazil face-to-face. Antony tries to turn it around Ramsdale, but the ‘keeper pushes himself big and presses the shot. However, United took the lead from the resulting corner, with Kieran Tierney scoring one of his goals.

A short corner from Antony saw the Brazilian reach the box, leaving Takehiro Tomiyasu behind. The forward cut a cross toward the back post that met Casemiro, and his header took a big deflection off Tierney’s shoulder to slam into an empty net.
With 15 minutes remaining, Arsenal introduced Emil Smith-Rowe and Fabio Vieira in an attempt to find an equalizer. After a flurry of opportunities, Vieira found the leveler for seven minutes.
It was the two options that were linked for the goal, with Smith-Rowe the provider. The Englishman charged from the right before sending a cross towards a nearby post, and Vieira overtook David de Gea after defeating Rafael Varane in the air.
Vieira showed excellent movement to enter the middle of Varenne and Martinez to score his first Arsenal goal, and what a place to get it! Neither side got a winner, and the points were shared.
