In fact, the Chief of the Air Staff, and Air Chief Marshal VR Choudhary on Thursday honored many Air Force warriors with Yudh Seva Medals and other awards. Apart from this, he also handed over citations to six units for exemplary service to the nation and the force. At the ceremony organized at the Air Force Auditorium at Subroto Park—–
- Yudh Seva Medal to three air warriors
- Vayu Sena Medal (Gallantry) to four and
- 14 Air Force personnel were awarded the Vayu Sena Medal.

The Vishisht Seva Medal was awarded to 28 air warriors including three retired Air Force personnel. In addition, 21 Wing, Air Force Station New Delhi, 2257 Squadron, 77 Squadron, 4 Squadron, and 159 Helicopter Unit were awarded the prestigious Chief of Air Staff’s Commendation. This year the Air Force Raising Day will be organized in Chandigarh instead of Hindon Airbase in Ghaziabad.
