Catherine was the eldest of three children to her father Michael and mother Carole Middleton; Her siblings were Philip (Pippa) and James. Her parents met while working as flight attendants at British Airways, and in 1987 they founded a mail-order business selling supplies for children’s parties.
The success of that venture, combined with the family legacy, enabled her to send Catherine to a prep school and then to the prestigious Marlborough College in Wiltshire, England. In Marlborough, Catherine (then called Kate) was known to be a serious student, excelling in sports and studies. Excellent in Athletics – She captained the school field hockey team and academics.
In 2001, Kate went to the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, where she met Prince William (Prince and Heiress of England), a first-year art history student, who was then second to the British throne (after her father, Charles).
The two began dating, although their relationship was not made public until they were photographed together while vacationing in Switzerland in 2004. Despite constant media interference, Kate attempted to maintain a private life.
After graduating from St Andrews in 2005, she worked briefly as an accessories buyer for a clothing retailer, and later held various roles in her parents’ company, while serving in several charities. Did work too.
After years of intense speculation from the British media about the couple’s wedding plans – Kate was dubbed “Waite Katie” at the time – in November 2010 it was announced that the two had become engaged. In preparation for her entry into the royal family, Kate reverted to the more formal name Catherine.
The royal wedding took place on April 29, 2011, at Westminster Abbey in London. She was given the title of Duchess of Cambridge. When William became the clear heir and inherited the title of Duke of Cornwall when her father became King Charles III, Catherine became Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge. When William was given the title Prince of Wales, she became Princess of Wales shortly after.

The couple’s first son, Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge, was born on July 22, 2013, and their daughter, Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge, was born on May 2, 2015. Catherine gave birth to a second son, Prince Louis Arthur, Charles of Cambridge on April 23, 2018.
Kate Middleton has been crowned Princess of Wales
Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, her successor King Charles III declared Kate Middleton the new Princess of Wales, a title previously held by Prince William’s late mother, Princess Diana.

So, what is her opinion of Kate’s title change? A royal source revealed that Kate, 40, “respects the history associated with this role, but wants to look to the future as she forges her path.”
“The Prince and Princess of Wales will perform their roles humbly and humbly,” the royal source said, adding that the focus was also “on deepening the trust and respect of the people of Wales for a longer time.”
In a pre-recorded address broadcast on 9 September, the King gave his blessing to William as the new Prince of Wales
