NEET UG 2022 Result: The National Eligibility and Entrance Test or NEET 2022 results are expected to be released in the month of August. The exam results will be published on the official website neet.nta.nic.in. All India Ranking (AIR) will provide the rank list to the students based on the marks obtained by the students. Based on the rank of students, admissions will be done in various colleges.
This year, the National Examinations Agency (NTA) has revised the ranking criteria for NEET 2022 along with the marking scheme for the papers. Not only has NTA introduced negative marking for all questions, it has also changed the tie-breaking criteria.
As per the new tie-breaking criteria, each candidate will be assigned a unique rank. The revised ranking criteria for NEET 2022 result are explained below. There is no confirmation from the NTA about when the NEET result will be declared
According to the official website, neet.nta.nic.in the answer key for the NEET exam will be released soon. The NEET results are expected to be released within 10 – 15 days after the release of the NEET answer key by NTA.
What are the revised ranking criteria this year?
Based on the revised ranking criteria, the first few criteria based on the marks obtained by the candidates will remain the same. that is,
Biology (Botany & Zoology), Chemistry, and Physics (in that order) have the highest marks/percentage marks.
If the marks are the same in all subjects, students with a lower proportion of wrong questions will be given a higher rank in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (in that order) with a lower proportion of wrong questions.
If all these marks are combined, senior candidates will be given a higher rank.
If the candidates share their birthdays, the candidate who applied NEET earlier will get a higher rank (in ascending order of application number).
Students may note that the final result will be published only after the answer sheets are published and objections are raised. NTA’s NEET 2022 answer sheet is expected any day. Officials shared that the answer key is expected by August 18. Check neet.nta.nic.in for latest updates regarding this.
The NEET UG 2022 exam was conducted by NTA on July 17, 2022, in 497 cities in India and 14 cities outside India in 3,570 centers. A total of 18.72 lakh candidates had registered for the NEET UG examination. 95 percent of them cleared the exam.
